About Kyndall.
KYNDALL SILLANPAA (she/her) is a director/writer originally from Northern California. She is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts having completed her BFA in Theatre in the Spring of 2020. She did her primary training at NYU as an actor at the Atlantic Acting School before transitioning into her advanced directing training at Playwrights Horizons Theater School. With a minimalist directorial aesthetic, she gravitates toward texts and subject matter that walk the line between intellectually philosophical and physically visceral storytelling. recently, she has been working on the production side of Theatre, most notably working with Netflix, ars nova, and on the rocks theatre co. Her recent directing credits include Ghost Tape Number 10 (The Hundredth Hill), People, Places & Things (Playwrights Downtown/NYU), Vinegar Tom (Playwrights Downtown/NYU), and Constellations (Playwrights Downtown/NYU).
