About Kyndall.
KYNDALL SILLANPAA (she/her) is a director/writer originally from Northern California. She is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts having completed her BFA in Theatre in the Spring of 2020. She completed her primary training at NYU as an actor at the Atlantic Acting School before transitioning into her advanced directing training at Playwrights Horizons Theater School. With a minimalist directorial aesthetic, she gravitates toward texts and subject matter that walk the line between intellectually philosophical and physically visceral storytelling. recently, she has been working in creative project management, most notably with Netflix, ars nova, and on the rocks theatre co. She in currently working with Immersive International as Project coordinator for the UK Pavilion opening at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai in April 2025. Her recent directing credits include Ghost Tape Number 10 (The Hundredth Hill), People, Places & Things (Playwrights Downtown/NYU), Vinegar Tom (Playwrights Downtown/NYU), and Constellations (Playwrights Downtown/NYU).
